The Rebbe gave the following clear directives to ALL Chasidim: #1 – every conversation should star with words “Moshiach Now”. The Rebbe further said, those who think that I am exaggerating, I am not #2 – the Rebbe was famously autonomous with the idea of Shlichus allowing individual Shluchim to – to a great degree – do things that are right for their own communities. ppl should get an education. Not many ppl make enough $ to support their family. Yes get a degree. Enough poverty.

There are many sichos of the Rebbe against University, so why would you say we should encourage Lubavitchers to go. The Rebbe spoke strongly against it.

What an amazing Kiddush Hashem! We should encourage Lubavitchers to attend University without fear of being negatively influenced. It can be done!

The temptations on university campuses these days which can draw a Jewish student away from Yiddishkeit are pretty intense r”l. Kol hakavod to this young man who stood up with the Gaon Yaakov for four long years, until this crowning achievement. He is a dugma chaya for other college students.
