Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky , Executive Director of Suite 302 at Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, delivered an invocation at the New York State Senate in Albany, NY, this week.
He was the guest of State Senator Jesse Hamilton, who represents the Crown Heights neighborhood, home to 770 Eastern Parkway.
Elected last year, Senator Hamilton has made inroads with the new generation of Jewish activists in Crown Heights. Most recently, he joined hundreds of celebrants at Lag BaOmer events throughout Crown Heights.
Rabbi Kotlarsky opened with memorializing the victims of the Amtrak train crash and prayed for the injured. He then blessed the senators and reminded them that every small good deed reverberates throughout the world.
He concluded the invocation with singing for peace.
Well done. May you continue giving the Rebbe much nachas!!
