Quotes and transcripts from the Rebbe’s conversations during private holiday meals at 770 Eastern Parkway were published in the two volume series Hamelech B’mesibo.
Tonight, some more memories will be shared.
“The Rebbe’s Seder,” a panel discussion of Chassidim that merited to attend the Rebbe’s Seder, will be taking place on Thursday. It is organized by Beis Medrash L’Shluchim, a division of Merkos Suite 302, and will be aired on COLlive.com.
For many years, Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin and Rabbi Leibel Schapiro merited to be present from the beginning of the Seder. Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz and Rabbi Shloma Zarchi would join during the Seder and witnessed many unique Hanhogos and moments.
For the first time, they will join together in a single panel to share the many different Hanhogos of the Rebbe before and during the seder. Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook of Lahak Publications will be MC of the event.
Due to the obvious interest in the Rebbe’s customs and knowing how meticulous the Rebbe was with every nuance of the Seder, this panel will provide a glimpse into these most special times with the Rebbe.
LIVE VIDEO: Begins 9:00 PM Eastern Time
Has R Shmotkin published his observations? It looks like notes on a paper. I think we could make a nice kovetz out of this talk!
Thank you all for this wonderful program. It would be nice in the future to include the others (Reinetz, Chaim Baruch H, and others) so we can get some more insights. Our generation needs to hear, know and remember to tell our children and children’s-children what took place in Lubavitch.
Can you put the video up so those who were unable to watch it live should be able to see it also
Thank you, happy pesach
Very very interesting. I would of appreciated not missing the Yidish that was spoken. Next time keep it in English so we could all understand. In general it was revealing and excellent.
I enjoyed watching and learning so many details about the rebbes seder.I even enjoyed listening to the few disagreements among these Chassidim. It was almost though of course not quite like , listening to chachomim of the gemarrah arguing about certain things based on what they remembered. THe solution is…….men dwarf hoben da dem Rebbe da limatta. He will then answer Alleh Kashes, not just di Fir Kashes.
So special TY so much for sharing
thank you so much for having this live
a very geshmake farbrengen
Thank you for arranging this beautiful, informative farbrengen.
Thank you for sharing these memoirs with all.
A kosher and freilichin Pesach
I really enjoyed this and learned a lot from it! A groysen yasher koach to all the Rabbis who participated in it and to COLlive for broadcasting it. I wish my Yiddish were better so I would have understood more. I especially appreciated the Rabbis who tried to stick to English.
