Work is well underway for a worldwide celebration in honor of Yud Alef Nissan, marking 113 years since the Rebbe‘s birth, and 100 years since the Rebbe’s Bar Mitzvah.
Agudas Chasidei Chabad International is leading the global initiative, working in conjunction with the Vaad Or Vechom group, to mark this special day with learning and farbrenging in order to strengthen our hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
In numerous cities throughout the United States, several towns in Israel and other international locations around that are still in the works, Chassidim will unite to mark 113 years since Yud Alef Nissan.
Communities around the world will enjoy special guest speakers flown in from afar in honor of the occasion, something made possible by the generous philanthropist, Mr. Ronald Perelman.
The guest speakers will farbreng, share memories and stories related to Yud Alef Nissan. They will demand concrete action from the members of the community, in the spirit of the Hayom Yom of Yud Alef Nissan which explains that: “On his birthday, one should spend time in seclusion. He should recall his experiences and think deeply into them. He should then repent and correct those (of his past deeds) that need correction and repentance.”
Members of Anash are eager to organize and participate in Farbrengens in honor of Yud Alef Nissan. Time and money limitations often prevent significant events from materializing.
The efforts of Agudas Chasidei Chabad in conjunction with Vaad Or Vechom lend a strong helping hand to Shluchim and Anash everywhere, so that their collective desire of celebrating Yud Alef Nissan in an appropriate manner of Sheves achim gam yochad can come to fruition.
“Keeping our communities educated and inspired on matters which are important to Chassidim, cannot be underestimated or over emphasized,” says Shliach Chaim Lazaroff of Houston, Texas.
“We were encouraged, and provided with the resources to bring a guest Farbrenger, allowing us to bring Yud Alef Nissan to the forefront of everyone’s mind,” he said.
Communities around the world have welcomed this initiative with much excitement. Leaders are establishing contact to request assistance in organizing guest speakers and collecting relevant literature, Sichos and Yomanim. This helps infuse their members of Anash with the spirit of this Yom Tov.
The central Yud Alef Nissan Farbrengen will take place at Campus Chomesh in Crown Heights, on Monday the eve of Yud Alef Nissan at 8 p.m. The event will be broadcasted live on COLlive.com, joined by a slew of guest-speakers from around the globe.
