March is still coming in like a lion as more snow moves in Wednesday night after a wintry mix of snow and rain left roads and sidewalks a slushy mess.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens from 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4th to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 5th.
The current forecast calls for 4-8 inches of snow. Visibilities are expected to be approximately one quarter to one half mile at times.
A winter storm watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday for the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester County, southern Connecticut and parts of northeast New Jersey.
Forecasters say Wednesday’s rain will change into snow as the temperature drops overnight. On Thursday, parts of the region could see 3 to 6 inches of snow with more than 6 inches possible in central and southern New Jersey.
