… any video of him is a precious video and also to see the dedicate bochurim clearing the snow. Imagine today asking teenagers to do ANY heavy work most would look down thier noses, but for the Rebbe we would all run to grab that precious mitzvah to make his life easier, because his life was for our lives, and bringing us all closer to HKBH…. am I making any sense or is it the cold ??!!!
But when you’re connected above…
Amazing!
Not only he didn’t ever take of a day, he even went into office instead of working at home in such conditions.
I would presume (cant say for sure) respectfully//
I don’t think the Rebbe had winter boots on, or other heavy gear on his feet.. perhaps I may assume, coming from the Ohel, there were Ohel shoes on,,, making it all the more difficult to walk through.
🙁
Moshiach NOW!!!!
:-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
The Rebbe’s walk is so regal and determined.
Thanks for sharing!
This big snow in 1969 was not predicted before and when it happened, the then Mayor J Lindsay was upset with the weathermen for not predicting. It was about 20 inches.
We had about a week off from Yeshiva TTL Bedford and Dean
1. The driver stopped in exactly the perfect spot. Impressive.
2. The Rebbe opened his own door (which is unusual). Perhaps he didn’t want whoever opened the door for him to spend extra time in the cold…
3. A “no parking any time” sign already in 1969. Pretty cool.
4. The blizzard in 1969 seems to have been bigger even if the 2015 predictions would have been correct (and there was no travel ban and the citizens survived).
the rebbe was able to do it so of course anyone else can to!
What a determined walk!
Such a good man, such a sensible kind and proper person.
I was thinking this morning to myself, thst the Rebbe was such a liberal thinking man, he really was. To accept every jew, and want to teach them, even though they may be so ignorant of their heritage. So far thinking, so wonderful. We were very lucky to have such a leader for this amount of time.
Thank you Rebbe, for being so reliable and sensible.
Chana simcha
It looks like the car was driving and stopping on the main Parkway, that’s why the Rebbeh walks a long time , also then we undrestand the benches that are on the park-walk.
Please correct if i’m wrong.
We miss you so dearly, your dedication to us , your love for us !Please shlep us out of this dark gulus !
If I’m not mistaken, this was filmed by Rabbi Zalmen Marosov from Montreal.
Thank you
Remember the Rebbe grew up in the Soviet union. V’dal
The rebbe was almost 70!!! a lesson to all!!!!
