The Seymour J. Abrams Cheder Lubavitch Preschool in Skokie, Illinois held their Chanukah Interactive day on Wednesday, Chof Hey Kislev.
The children and parents played at the many centers set up by their teachers. The children designed their own puzzles, made edible menorahs, searched for Chanukah gelt in the water table and sand table, decorated Chanukah cookies, played Aleph Bais games which included a match the latke game and a dreidel graph game, made Chanukah necklaces, patterned dreidel crowns, and designed Chanukah bags. Each class also had their own sing along.
“You can feel the excitement in the air for weeks before the interactive day. The children are so proud to share their accomplishments with their parents,” said Mrs. Lakey Silber, preschool director.
Mrs. Sheindy Zirkind, a new parent at Cheder, commented that “The Chanukah interactive program was a great way for parents to experience a day in preschool together with our children. There were so many activities to choose from! A lot of effort was put into the program and we really appreciate the Morahs of each class and especially Morah Lakey for arranging and organizing the program.”
Another parent, Mrs. Stefanie Argamon said, “The incredible warmth and Ahavas Yisroel that we find at Cheder Lubavitch really sets it apart. Actually being in the classroom gives the parents an up close view of the unusually high level of professionalism as well. My husband and I may be the last true litvaks standing, but we love the education our daughter is getting at Cheder Lubavitch.”
We are so proud of you, as usual! Looks amazing and very well planned out!
