A beautiful event was hosted by Abish and Flori Mendel on Wednesday, December 10th in honor of Yud Tes Kislev, commemorating the liberation of the Baal HaTanya from Russian incarceration.
His release from prison ushered in a new era for the revelation of the teachings of Chassidus of the Baal Shem Tov and his students.
The heated tent was packed with standing room only as Rabbi YY Jacobson masterfully delved into a deep discussion on how the Jewish heart very easily melts in the face of divrei Elokim chayim, when it confronts the teachings of Chassidus.
Flavored with heaftfelt niggunim and stories, participants felt an aura of authentic ruchniyus in the room for hours into the night.
The event was arranged by Rabbi Yoseph Vigler and Mayan Yisroel (www.MayanYisroel.net).
“The participation of so many Rabbonim and baalebatim points to a definite trend in Flatbush as in the world over,” said Rabbi Vigler. “People are seeking more than ritual and rote. They want to hear about G-d, their souls yearn for something deeper within Yiddishkeit. That spiritual vacuum is filled in the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov and his students.”
Mayan yisroel continues to inspire the local Flatbush community! Simply amazing
