The epitome of edelkeit
I taught in the cheder of Minnesota many years ago and I remember Lauren very well. So devoted to the school and her children. So giving in such a humble and gracious way.
Gittel, May Hashem comfort you. Enough craziness. Moshiach now!
Morah Elkin was a special woman and teacher. I still have many of the daily notes she would send home at the end of the day with my toddlers. They were so personalized and written with great humor. She always made you feel so comfortable and at ease. She will be greatly missed.
Lauren was truly a special person. She taught my children with love and patience and yes when I needed a special favor (someone to drive me to the Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery when I wanted to go to my parent’s graves when I was visiting Minnesota in the midst of a bitter and cold winter whom did I call? Lauren! Of course! She took me and gave her gloves to me because i had not brought any) Yes that the kind of person she was…May her family be comforted and may those who lie in the dust arise with the coming… Read more »

Morah Elkin was such a wonderful person, but so few people outside her circle of friends know just how incredible she was. She was the epitome of quiet grace, never in the spotlight, yet always on your mind if you needed a favor or something done.
May her family find comfort
