My thoughts exactly.Miriam accomplished great things without fanfare or recognition. She never held herself better than, or on a higher level than anyone else, but truth be told-she was!! A very great loss for our community… Ad Mosai….

I ran into Miriam, obm a few months back and for a reason that I will never understand, I told her how she was my role model and someone to look up to because she was always b’simcha. I can’t say that I have ever met anyone else who fit the bill as she did. No matter what challenges came her way, she always smiled…How many of us can say that we do the same? Michoel, and all the lovely children,
I know how your mother and wife is being missed but you should all know that your wife/mother was a special person, as I have known her since she became Mrs. Slater. she can’t be replaced but she sure is doing what she can from up above for the family and for kilal yisroel.
You should feel proud of her and tink positive as she would want you to do.

One little story just to show how special she was – a few years ago, Miriam A”H decided to volunteer for the Chevra Kadisha. The first time she was called upon, she participated with no fuss, no fear, just the same calmness, dedication and professionalism she always displayed, no matter what she was doing or where she was. I, a somewhat veteran, was amazed and so impressed.

Thank you for posting such a detailed report and the pictures (which illustrate how much she was loved & respected.) Miriam, you have left a huge void in Crown Heights.
