Thanksgiving

Wow. Thanks for all your wonderful comments! I just looked at the site and fond this. What a nice surprise indeed… Or, as they say in London, lovely! So a bit of FYI here. I actually have four books out, three after the first release of Skullcaps N Switchblades. So please feel free to check out my latest goodies on my various sites at: http://www.drlaz.com, http://www.ProjectCureTheWorld.com & one more, http://www.TeachMeIfYouCan.org. Oh, by the way, Skullcaps & Switchblades was reprinted this past summer in an expanded version. Yahoo! The original publisher took out four stories but I finally got em back… Read more »

Good for Phil

Sounds a very bright boy. Please add Laz, please tell the community that even if someone is learning challenged, they can be exceptionally gifted in many other ways, this seems very hard for many to accept. You can get this message over, I’m a mother and have had people be so rude to my exceptional child. They don’t realise how deep and intellectual he is, it is they who have the handicapp of a closed mind.

Great story

President Lincoln's thanksgiving proclamation
November 27, 2014 6:24 pm

Washington, D.C. October 3, 1863 By the President of the United States of America. A Proclamation. The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude… Read more »

Ever Thankful

A non-Jewish handyman worked in our home yesterday.
Before he left he began to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving,
and then asked, “Do you even celebrate it?” I explained that
the first words out of our mouths each morning are “I thank
You “, etc. (modeh ani) and the brochos before and after
eating, the modim in our prayers three times a day, etc.,
so it’s not a special one- day- a -year thing. He appreciated
the explanation very much.
