The bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto marked rosh Chodesh Kislev with great joy.
Hundreds of talmidim, chavrei hanholoh, anash and guests from the community filled the zal in honor of the special day, and were inspired and uplifted until the wee hours of the morning.
During the seudas mitzva, the bochurim heard from the shluchim to the Yeshiva, divrei his’orerus from the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Akiva Wagner, and personal recollections of his time spent in the Rebbe’s room from Dr. Yoisef Minkowitz, a local member of anash who served as the coordinator of the Rebbe’s medical treatment in 5753, as well as from the guest speaker, Rabbi Piekarski.
Throughout the event, the joy could not be contained, and the bochurim erupted numerous times into spontaneous dancing that pulled in all of the participants.
After bentching, the farbrenging continued with the visiting mashpia Rabbi Ephraim Piekarski of Morristown, New Jersey, who held the crowd spellbound throughout the night until he had to leave to the airport for his flight back to New Jersey.
He told many stories, and gave much practical advice on how to live as chassidim.
All in all the day made an indelible imprint on all who were present, and will surely have a visible impact on their conduct in the days to come.
Go Menachem Chayempour!!
Keep making us proud.
Great speech Levi Naparstak!!!!!!

I was there many years ago and even though the faces of the bochurim have changed, the place looks exactly the same. This place is REAL. When I was there, I was connected to the Rebbe and lived with the Chassidim of Yesteryear. I was plugged into ruchniyus. If not for the chayus energy I took from that year of Yeshiva Lubavitch in Toronto – today I would either be a Chabad Light or a Chabad Zero! I am not saying that I am up to speed – but at least I know where I should be. I am not… Read more »
