Over 250 leading Chabad supporters and Shluchim gathered on Sunday for the Chabad Partners Conference of the International Kinus HaShluchim.
Held at the Brooklyn Marriott hotel, the annual conference focuses on partnerships between Shluchim and their supporters which have given rise to revolutionary growth in Jewish life around the globe.
The community leaders participated in workshops on the crisis in Ukraine and the Chabad response to last summers’ war in Gaza. They also joined a “Town Hall Meeting” that focused on their involvement in local Chabad centers.
At the Plenary Session a special award was given to the Honorable Tsvetan Tsvetanov, the former Vice Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Bulgaria, for his concern and dedication in helping the families of a terror attack that claimed the lives of 5 Israeli citizens in July of 2012.
The award was signed by the Chief Rabbis of Israel and Russia, the speaker of the Knesset, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky and leading members of the Bulgarian Jewish Community.
Participants were also addressed by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, author of the NY Times bestseller “Rebbe: The Life and Teachings of Menachem M. Schneerson.”
The informative day culminated with the inspiring Gala Banquet at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal with 5,400 other Shluchim and friends from around the world.
