Josh Hochschuler, founder of the Talenti Gelato & Sorbetto company, shared with the latest issue of Fortune magazine on “How to get through the tough times.”
Before mentioning humor and President Teddy Roosevelt’s “The Man in the Arena” speech, he mentioned an unexpected source of inspiration.
“I derive a great deal of comfort from my faith,” said Hochschuler, whose company is the third largest premium ice cream brand in the United States with $95 million in revenue last year.
“I believe things happen for a reason and look for a lesson or silver lining when confronting hardship,” he said.
“The Lubavitcher Rebbe, of blessed memory, has played a meaningful role in my life, and I often turn to his teachings for inspiration and guidance,” he added.
The company has the kosher supervision of the OU (cholov stam). The sorbet flavors –Roman Raspberry, Alphonso Mango and Blood Orange– are certified OU pareve.
