A special magic show and children’s rally marked the first anniversary of Shula’s Library in Jerusalem on Monday.
Over 100 children and adults attended the celebration, which included a magic show by Rabbi Shalom who explained that magic is just an illusion and taught the kids how the tricks were done.
He also incorporated Jewish stories and lessons in serving Hashem with his tricks.
Later, the children said the Pesukim, made Brachas on treats, and gave Tzedaka Li’Iluy Nishmas Alta Shula bas Yosef Yitzchak viHinda.
The library, founded 1 year ago by Hindel and Yossi Swerdlov is in memory of their 3 year-old daughter who passed away 5 years ago, is now a bustling center of learning and activity.
Since its opening, the Library has become a community jewel that inspires its hundreds of visitors and members to interact and grow together, in a warm environment of discovery and learning.
The Library is constructed in a beautiful, inviting tree house like structure, in the heart of Rechavia, Jerusalem which since her first Yortzeit hosted ‘Shula’s Shul’ Minyan on Shabbos for children.
