Moscow’s largest Yeshiva, adjacent to the Marina Roscha Synagogue, celebrated the inauguration of their new spacious state-of-the-art building on Chol Hamoed Sukkos.
In attendance at the event was the Head Shliach and Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, who founded the Yeshiva named “Cheder Menachem” in honor of the Lubavitcher Rebbe 15 years ago.
Since its founding, the Yeshiva’s team of dedicated educators have taught hundreds of students, producing a generation of proud Jews.
Due to the demand for space as the number of students increases each year, a new building was built with the support of philanthropist billionaire Gad Nisanov and the assistance of Rabbi Alexander Boroda, President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia.
Attendees at the emotional opening ceremony included Director of Chinuch organizations in Russia Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Lipsker, Menahel of the Yeshiva Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Kenig and the school’s educational staff, parents and students.
Students will now enjoy utilizing the spacious new classrooms, as well as the luxurious new Synagogue, dining hall, library and recreation rooms.
“It’s exciting to see how in what was formerly Communist Russia, which persecuted the Jews so that they were forced to study underground for so long, the sound of Torah learning and Chassidus is heard aloud, and G-d’s name is sanctified before all,” remarked a participant.

Seeing how the Rebbe’s Brochos have performed so well in Moskva is proof how if we only were to listen and do all the Rebbe told us, his Brochos will work iy”h for all of Klal Yisroel all over.
