Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy met with Lubavitch businessmen and residents of New Haven, CT, Moti Sandman and Zev Sandman on Tuesday.
At the meeting, which took place at the home of Moti Sandman in New Haven, CT, they discussed a range of topics focused on the needs of the Greater Connecticut Jewish Community.
Moti Sandman was very pleased with the meeting and stated that, “We have a real friend in Governor Malloy. We look forward to working with him for many years to come in improving the quality of life for all Connecticut residents and particularly in providing services to the community.”
Zev Sandman – a local attorney – was heartened after the meeting saying that, “The meeting was very productive. Governor Malloy recognized the unique needs of our community and is a catalyst to enable that those needs be met.”
According to polls, the Democratic Malloy is locked in a tight race with his Republican challenger Tom Foley, in what seems like a repeat of the 2010 race which Malloy won by just 6,404 votes.

but the truth is Malloy is not great! He didn’t do a thing for CT in all the time that he was governor – and not only that, he actually made matters worse. CT has one of the highest tax rates in the country, companies and individuals are leaving in droves, (just today – OCT 22 – UBS announced it is leaving Stamford!), people are in need of someone who ACTUALLY work to make things better, not raise taxes and line his pockets with the proceeds. Governor Malloy has been a friend to the community for many years. thanks to Moti and Zev Sandman for reaching out to people such as the Governor to help advance the community’s interest.

I live in Connecticut. The Governor is in the middle of a very tight race for re-election. It is great to see that he is spending time with there Lubavitchers.
It is even better that he is alone in their home with no media around him, really giving them the time of day. How wonderful.
