Next week, dozens of Rabbis, Shluchim and students from all across the globe will begin a year-long course to master the major halachic issues of our day.
Headed by renowned halachic posek from Melbourne, Rabbi Feitel Levin, this new cutting-edge halacha course promises to give young and old rabbis and students a mastery of the laws pertinent Jewish communities and individuals in today’s generation, training a new generation of Jewish spiritual leaders.
Rabbi Levin’s program, which begins next Sunday, October 26, 2014, will explore themes from conversions to suicide; from divorces to autopsies; from mamzarus to electronics; from abortions to euthanasia and ramifications of intermarriage—this course will offer knowledge in the entire spectrum of contemporary halacha.
Rabbi Levin, who will be giving two shuirim a week virtually, and provide all students with a full curriculum and all of the texts, is making the program available for two distinct tracks: for students who can spend time learning each day, and for those who can only join for the shuirim. Scholarships are available for both tracks.
Rabbi Levin is being joined by Rabbi YY Jacobson who will be presenting courses on how to communicate and teach Jewish theology and mysticism (Hashkafah, Kabbalah and Chassidus) to Jews from diverse backgrounds. Rabbi Jacobson will also be giving the students lessons in public speaking and communicating.
The program has two tracks – one for full time students, and the other for Rabbis, Shluchim or Baalai Batim who can’t dedicate many hours to daily study, but want to hear shuirim and receive texts that will allow them to gain knowledge and mastery of major halachic issues of our times. Scholarships are available for both tracks.

Now that everyone in lubavitch gets semicha and many become community leaders, it’s great that they’ll finally have a way learn the halachik perspective of the questions that will actually come up in addition to knowing how do check if a lung has been punctured or not.
