A black male was riding a bike on East New York Avenue between Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues on Tuesday, October 14, at approximately 7:30 PM when he punched a young girl in the face knocking her over.
There was no attempted robbery, only an unprovoked act of hate against a stranger.
Shmira members responded and canvassed the area with the victim for a while but the perpetrator had fled the area. The victim filed a police report.
The perpetrator is a male black who appeared to be in his late teens. He was wearing a grey hoody and riding a smaller bicycle.

How are we allowing this to happen to our community members?! This is absolutely horrible! One thing is the incident toward boys now it is toward little girls??? We must stand up and take serious action!
