Trucks and pallets of food could be seen lining Eastern Parkway today, as deliveries of massive quantities of food and beverages arrived at 770.
The shipments are expected to keep coming in as R’ Nachum Markowitz prepares for the Grand Kidushim distributions that will run through Shabbos Bereishis.
Since the start of Tishrei, over 70,000 bottles of water, thousands of cases of meat, dairy, mezonos rolls and other foods have been enjoyed by residents and guests in Crown Heights.
One of the effort’s major donors, businessman Yerachmeal Jacobson , visited the site of the food distribution on a special anniversary – the eve when he received a blessing for a son from R’ Markowitz, who blessed him to have a boy after making a donation to the Kiddush. One year later, on the same day, he celebrated the bris of his son.
