Simchas Torah is primarily a Yom Tov which is celebrated as a family. Fathers dance happily together with their children and the Sifrei Torah. However, as Chassidim, the Rebbe has taught us the importance of being mesameach other Yidden, and therefore the men and older boys go on Tahalucha, leaving the women and children at home, with little opportunity to participate in any Hakofos.
For this reason, we are making a special Hakofos in 770 where children will be able to experience Hakofos in the Rebbe’s Shul. The Hakofos will only be on Thursday night, the night of Tahalucha.
5:30 pm: Women and girls will have the Zechus of kissing the Rebbe’s Sefer Torah and Moshiach’s Sefer Torah, on the Plaza entrance at Kingston Ave.
7:15 pm: The Torahs will be brought inside for Hakafos
9:15 pm: Women and girls can come downstairs to kiss the Torahs
Schedule:
6:15 pm: Girls and Madrichos, 1st – 6th grade, enter from the driveway on the side of the Rebbe’s room.
6:45 pm: Mothers with young children will enter from the Sukkah between 770 and the library.
6:53 pm: Maariv and Hakafos, Men will daven maariv, Kiddush will be made. Dance to the Hakafos.
No strollers. All carriages to be left on Eastern Parkway
Only mothers with young children will be able to go downstairs.

if i have eight year old girl can i come inside with her?
who are the event sponsors and how can I also become a sponsor for this beautiful event
Shamai great video you rock im sure the rebbe has lots of nachas.
Looks amazing
I don’t know who sponsors this event. But looking at the cost of design, printing, editing, food etc. This must cost a nice few bucks.
Runs an amazing program for the girls. This year their will be three head counselors. One for each school. With madrichos for each grade. Tons of nosh and refreshments. Go Bailli.
His voice is like a microphone. Some times I think he has a built in microphone. Before he joined the team you could not hear what was going on.
Is the man behind setting up 770. Arranges all the benches to be brought into 770 and taken out at the end. Sets up the mechitza. And tables. It would be impossible to do this with out him.
The man behind the map and all the madrichim.
He works so hard each year to convince the yungerleit that crown heights is also a shlichus. And the kids in crown heights need tahalucha as well. Go Leibel
It would be only right to make mention of the man who came up with the whole idea to begin with. I remember when he came to tzivos hashem and said their is very few times a year that 770 is empty for a few hours. His words still ring in my ears “just imagine” he said if while everyone goes on tahalucha 1000 mothers and children who dont experience hakofos at all (as the men dont get bacj from tahalucha before 11pm) will pack into 770 for hakofos. The next year the children’s hakofos was born. This year will… Read more »

Gorgeous video!
Have you seen the weather forecast?
Everyone I sent it to already saw the video.
So many people want to come into 770 and their is no space. Why can’t they just expand 770. What would the rebbe say about not letting people in. I see every year the way they fight off the older girls or mothers with out children from coming inside. Enough is enough. Its time to build 770. Anyone that can help?
Thank you Rabbis Karp, Boumgarten and weinboum who in this and all year long go beyond the call of any duty and certainly make the boss proud!
let the entire world get it! shimmy keep up the great work!
U’ve got talent! Great video!
You did an amazing job!!
Us mothers work hard to feed all the orchim a whole tishrei. Hakofos is actually the ONLY time in the year that we get to go downstairs into 770. Yet sadly because the people who don’t belong in 770 make their way inside there is no space for us. The girls are sly, they offer you help with your kids just to get inside. Once they are through the door, they disappear. Please dont accept help from strangers.
Thank you tzivos hashem for all that you do for our children.
May it truly be
In the mikdosh hashlishi
Very creative and well explained. I never saw 770 so empty.
So proud of you.
I come each year hoping to get in. Yet their is no space. I hope that people will follow the rules put into place and this year we will actually be able to enjoy hakofos.
Each year this becomes more organized and better then the year before. You can see from this video how much thought has gone into planning this event so that it should run well.
I wait all year for this
Very well done
So clever
Great video
