Mrs. Esther Rabinovich, a long-time resident of Crown Heights and a member of the Russian community, passed away on Friday, the second day of Rosh Hashana.
She is survived by her husband Yuri, her brother Sam Portnoy, and her daughter Chaya (Irina) Shapiro.
They will be sitting Shiva at 456 Brooklyn #4b until tomorrow night (Monday) afterwards they will be sitting at 96 Herrick Ave, Teaneck NJ.

Mrs. Rabinowitz was a lovely aidele person..always kind, quiet and b’tzniut..She was very bright as well- a true mathematician..We had the pleasure of having her and her husband over by us on several yomim tovim and shabbosim..What a pure neshoma she possessed!
