Rabbi Pinchos Laibush Hertzel, one of the elder Chasidim and Mashpiim of Chabad in Jerusalem, passed away Sunday, 4 Tishrei, 5775.
He was 92.
He is survived by his children: Rabbi Yeshayahu Hertzel (Chief Rabbi of Nazareth Eilit), Rabbi Mordechai Hertzel (Jerusalem), Rabbi Avraham Hertzel (Jerusalem), Rabbi Dovid Hertzel (Crown Heights), Rabbi Yosef Hertzel (Kfar Chabad), Rabbi Zalman Hertzel (Bnei Brak) Rabbi Elimelech Hertzel (Kiryat Malachi), and Mrs. Breindel Rabinowitz (Jerusalem).
The levaya took place today in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Dovid Hertzel is sitting Shiva in Crown Heights at 425 Sterling St. [between Brooklyn and New York Avenues] until Erev Yom Kippur.
