The Monsey Chabad community is experiencing tremendous growth, and over the past few years new mosdos have opened and expanded.
In addition to six active and growing Lubavitch shuls, Monsey Anash have the benefit of a high quality chinuch for their young children at Cheder Chabad boys division and girls division, Monsey Beis Chaya Mushka High School for their older daughters, and now, as fitting for a Kehilla of its prominence, the new Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey.
The Mesivta is directed by Rabbi Menachem M. Landa as Menahel Ruchni and Rabbi Moishe Liberow as Menahel Gashmi.
“The opening of the Mesivta will certainly be a factor that will make this community even more attractive as an option for Chabad families looking for a warm Chassidishe environment in which to raise their children,” said Rabbi Gil Hami, the school’s Director.
The Mesivta opened its doors on Zayin Elul to parents and talmidim of Shiur Alef under the directorship of an experienced and motivated Hanhola. Families had the opportunity to meet with the Hanhola and melamdim of the Yeshiva, become familiar with all aspects of the Yeshiva, and help their sons move into the Yeshiva’s comfortable and newly updated dormitory.
The opening talks stressed the connection of the new Yeshiva to the establishment of Tomchei Tmimim which was noted the following week on 15 Elul.
The Yeshiva staff is creating an environment where the young bochurim can grow in their learning, chassidishkeit and hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
Additionally, there are 4 Talmidim Hashluchim who are working with the bochurim to assure that each child received the individual attention that they need. A strong emphasis is being placed on self-respect and confidence, respect for their chaveirim, and mentchlichkeit.
The Mesivta’s vision is to create a place where every bochur can feel safe and happy and be able to focus on his learning. Maintaining strong lines of communication between the parents and the Hanhala is a priority for the Mesivta.
