The Chabad Shul in Ramat Bet Shemesh Gimmel, a new neighborhood planned for 5,000 families that currently houses 400 families, celebrated Sunday night a grand Hachnasas Sefer Torah.
The anonymous donor sponsored the Torah for the up and coming Shul, the tenth Chabad shul to be established in Bet Shemesh. The Minyan currently takes place in the house of R’ Yitzchak Rosenblum, Shliach to Mayanot Yeshiva in Yerushalayim.
More than 1000 men, women, and children celebrated in the streets of the neighborhood, after finishing writing the Torah at the house of R’ Binyamin Mendelson. The last letters were honored to be finished by community leaders: Rabbi Michael Avichid, Rav of the Chabad Kehillah, Mayor Moshe Abutbul, and city council members Shimon Goldberg and Avraham Nachman Frankel.
Following the Hakafos and dancing, a Seudas Mitzvah and Farbrengen took place in the Shul. The event was the first public event in the neighborhood and was a great Kiddush Lubavitch.

What a man, Yitzchok Rosenblum. A Shliach of the Rebbe in every possible way. A mentsch, a mesuder, a lamdan, a machnes orech and the engine behind the new Chabad Minyan in RBS and the Chabad House. And all this, while running the Mayanot operations in Jerusalem. Aleh v’hetzliach Yitzchok and Nava!
