This past Monday, August 26, Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh welcomed close to twenty new families at a back-to-school Meet & Greet event.
Students enjoyed choosing toppings for delicious ice cream sundaes as they picked up their books and met their teachers, some of whom are brand new hires. Many new changes in staff and faculty took place over the summer, some new positions and some expanded positions.
Parents were also given the opportunity to get involved in a New Parent-Teacher Association. A table was set up with relevant information, a suggestion box, and sign-up sheets for people who are interested in joining or heading different committees.
Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, Dean of Yeshiva Schools, was very pleased with the turnout.
“It is wonderful to see so many new families,” he said. “It’s great to be starting off the year with excited teachers, administrators, parents, and students.”
