A community Daf Yomi Shiur in Albany, NY, given by Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Rubin on Sunday commemorated the yahrtzeit of Rashi and was dedicated to the recovery of wounded IDF soldiers.
Rabbi Rubin’s shiur on Megillah 16 of how Mordechai’s “Kemitza” demonstration thwarted Haman’s evil plot, was based on Rashi (whose yartzeit is today, Tamuz 29) as interpreted by the Maharsha, R. Sholom Ganzfried and the Rebbe’s commentaries.
At the shiur a new “Kan Bonim!” Kovetz was distributed, following the Rebbe’s directive to learn about the Bais Hamikdash during the 3 weeks.
