First of all, wonderful that you could do this and the Hashgacha pratit of person, time, and place. Second, you brought me a small degree of comfort about burial in a military cemetery: when my mother a”h passed away, my father and sisters and I had no money to bury her. We asked about Hebrew Burial Society, a tzedakah to which my parents and I had given in the past, but we were rejected. We have always been financially poor but have always done mitzvot in the community; my parents even made sure others had proper Jewish burials, minyanim, etc.… Read more »

this is visible hashgachah protis of the first order. that rabbi richter was called to this place on a totally unrelated matter,knew of a relative that was laid to rest in the very same cemetery that he was asked to visit by a third party, was able to locate this relative’s kever which, in turn, lead to his reporting this inexplicable mistake at the eleventh hour of a 50 year (!!) deadline is something only Hashem Himself could have arranged.
