The school, its vision and its community of parents and staff are bringing hope to so many people – inside of our community and beyond. Thank you, Lamplighters, for sharing so much light.

The first time around

To comment #10- I was actually at the event. The point was that although we have so many programs that cater to help people at different stages of life (and that are very successful) the school’s mission is to focus on helping children be successful at the integral time of schooling. It never seemed at any point that they were putting anyone else down. At all. I think we can all agree that our children’s time spent in school is precious.

You have a great school but why put others down to be on top?

Lamplighters is a beautiful school and has a wonderful education concept, but why do they market themselves by putting Chabad down? This is not the first time they publicly made statements putting down the Lubavitche education standards and methods. It is not right and disrespectful to the entire Lubavitche movement. Please promote your school by showing its accomplishments without putting others down. Being an educator you know how different methods and structures are for different children, each has it’s positive and negative. Promote your positive and stay away from putting others down. Good luck and Mazel Tov!

And a big shout out to Moshe Hecht!

A beautiful outlook on Chinuch; so sad that the others do not come across like this. Wish that this was around for my children

Thank you.

When I first heard about this school three years ago, I thought there was no way it could possibly succeed in Crown Heights — where it was, ironically, needed most… Thank you for the dedication and fearlessness of the school’s founders and first families, and for the humility of the Chabad community in Crown Heights, for recognizing their youth’s dire need for personalized chinuch, and for the courage to embrace this school. You have renewed my hope in Crown Heights’ future not only as the source for quality Jewish outreach, but quality Jewish education. Here’s to getting it right the… Read more »
