1) Mendel is 19. 2) TO COMMENT #10 – Rabbi EDELMAN (with an “E”) from Massachusetts was not there. Rabbi ADELMAN (with an “A” [who coincidentally happens to be Mendel’s father] was, in fact there, believe it or not.)

a few minutes a day
June 17, 2014 10:29 pm

I started learning gemara every day a few years ago, always making sure to learn at least a few minutes a day. It changed my life for the better and I’ve already gone through several masechtes. JUST DO IT! Even a few minutes a day!

I have good news for you!
Everyone one can and should do it!
BH i am learning df Yomi for the last 12 years and , if I can do it, believe me that you also can
If you are in the “against daf Yomi team” you can learn it with a different sequence, (you can be some dapim ahead)
you have Dvd shas for less then $100, artschrolls, e-daf.com

This is one spectacular Bocher! THIS is a typical Lubavitch Bocher and the whole world needs to know this because they are hidden away learning and ppl only see a very small minority of the other type and think that they are the typical just because they are in sight!
Well done , the whole Lubavitch world is proud of u!

New Haven
June 17, 2014 3:54 am

It’s an impressive showing of hanhala from New Haven to have traveled and partake in the celebration of this siyum. He most likely did start in this undertaking during his mesivta or zaal days that were spent in New Haven according to the article.
I also noticed rabbi Edelman from Massachusetts who must have traveled to this event as well.
May we see more such celebrations in our moisdois.
Mazal tov.

Baruch hashem!
