Apparently you don’t really know how it works here. Unfortunately the public transportation in many of these areas can be impractical. It’s just the way things are done. I’m not saying it’s safe but you’re obviously a little more naive then you say these people are.

Yes, “tremping” is dangerous, but it is the way of life here in Gush Etzion. The boys were kidnapped at a popular Tzomet where hundreds of people hitch-hike daily. It is also directly across the Pina Chama”hang-out” for the Chayalim of the Gush, so there is always IDF protection there. Kids that live here are taught to look before they enter – the way kids are taught to look before they cross. This was obviously a well planned terrorist – the kids would not have gotten into the car had the terrorist not been wearing a yarmulkah/spoken fluent Hebrew, etc.… Read more »

The Rebbe said many times, when something not good happens, each person should look inside HIM OR HERSELF to see what can be improved. This is not the time to speak loshon hora.

Every Shul needs to say Tehillim this Shabbos. Tefillah Bizibur can open the doors of heaven. Yeshuas Hashem Kiheref Ayin.

May Hashem have rachmonos on these children.

My heart is breaking from this horrible news. Let’s do a mitzvah we’re kind of lax in, any one at all, and daven with all your might this Shabbos. May we be zocheh to hear b’suros tovos in the blink of an eye.

To Jack's critics

Attacking Jack is as negative as his own negativity was to begin with! Just do something positive, make a hachlata, daven for these precious boys, and recognize that even in his own unusual way, Jack was trying to say the same thing: Do good, follow the Torah and the Rebbe’s directives, and that will protect us and bring us blessings. He just had a bit of a communication problem 🙂
Let us all take a step back and not be so angry at each other.

Reckless
June 13, 2014 6:37 pm

While my prayers go out to the kidnapped youth, it’s very naïve & reckless to go hitchhiking in the West Bank. Unfortunately certain areas are dangerous, & that’s the reality. May Hashem keep us all safe & sound.

Take it eacccy. I know it might be a reflex to blame people in a helpless situation but I just would like you to know Jack, that what you are doing is incorrect. So dear Jack the Hobo, please take a moment to reflect on the things YOU can improve in YOUR life before asking someone else to. I know tznius is the first thing that comes to your mind in these situations because not tznius thoughts is something you struggle with. Unfortunately, us women cannot control your thoughts for you. I sincerely hope you dwell a little on what… Read more »

Don't tempt the Satan
June 13, 2014 5:37 pm

First of all, in a situation where our children’s lives are in danger, we do not remind him( the Satan) of our shortcomings or aveiros! I also know that not everything people say the Rebbe said is necessarily the truth. The Rebbe himself told ME that “he cannot be held responsible for things people say I say”. This was face to face more than 35 years ago!

I never read anywhere in tanach, the commentaries, and the Gemera that tznius is the cause of kidnapping in Israel. Before making such claims go fix your own problems rather than using others as a scapegoat! You are not G-d…. So don’t try to reason his actions. Hope for their immediate return home.

How does that help when Israel is a secular society.

look at the difference between your “smart comment ” and comment 9…..don’t look for negative reasons why things happen…we have a satan for that…he doesn’t need your help…pls try and focus on the positive, and do more good. thank you good shabbos

The rebbe told us that a lack of tznious makes eretz yisrael unsecured. Also this week was the toievah parade in tel aviv, coincidence? I think not

Once Israel starts making ‘deals’ with the arabs and exchanges thousands of palestinian terrorists for a soldier, what’s to stop them from doing it again??? It’s such an incentive for them to go and kidnap more.
Ad Mosai!? May they be found immediately whole and healthy, and as #3 said with no obstacles.
