The Creative Soul will present a unique group art show entitled “This is My Rebbe”, celebrating The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
Twenty years following 3 Tamuz, the impact of the Rebbe continues to reverberate throughout the world.
In celebration of the Rebbe and the personal relationship the Rebbe had – and continues to have- with his chassidim and beyond. The Creative Soul is preparing an art show exclusively of portraits of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Over the years, many artists have attempted to capture the vitality and energy of the Rebbe through various mediums. The Creative Soul aims to bring these works together under one roof in celebration of the Rebbe; revealing the Rebbe’s impact from the perspective of the individual artists.
The show is curated by Rabbi Yitzchok Moully and Rabbi Shais Taub, and will take place at the Creative Soul Gallery at 386 Kingston Ave, Brooklyn, NY.
The exhibit will open with an installation titled “Ad Mosai” depicting a Farbrengen at the entrance of the art show, followed by a gallery full of portraits of the Rebbe.
Each artist who participates in the show is asked to share in writing their personal relationship with the Rebbe and how the Rebbe touched their lives.
Further exploring the theme of “This is My Rebbe” during the course of the show, the public is invited and encouraged to interact with the exhibit, sharing their personal relationship with the Rebbe.
Through the use of Post-It notes, the public can post their personal stories of the Rebbe on the wall, creating a collective documentation of the Rebbe’s impact on so many.
The show is open to artists who would like to share both a portrait of the Rebbe and a personal anecdote of how the Rebbe impacted their lives.
Please note: capturing the essence of the Rebbe in two dimensional form is a challenge for many. The curators will be extremely selective in choosing only images that fully grasp the Rebbe, and do honor to the Rebbe.
All submissions must be received no later than June 15/ Sivan 17. Submissions will be processed on a first come/ first serve basis and the show may be full before the date above.

Nouril is a great manual photographer which takes much skill, but he ISNT a true artist. We thanks G-d have cameras and we don’t need to reproduce the image of a person. An artist is someone with redefines a picture with his own taste, twists, personality and he infuses it with feelings and emotions and origibality
If you know a wonderful painting of the Rebbe that should be included int he show, please email details to [email protected]
Thank you
IMO the best is Raphael nouril from london by a long shot
