In time for everyone’s favorite Lag B’omer Parade which in past years was jointly lead by the beloved Rabbi Yosef (“Uncle Yossi”) Goldstein, and Rabbi J.J. Hecht, comes the new release of “Uncle Yossi’s Big Book of Stories – Volume 2.”
On the heels of the very successful launch last year of the first volume containing 25 carefully selected tales transcribed from the unforgettable recordings of “Story-Time With Uncle Yossi,” the beautifully designed volume two brings another 24 of Uncle Yossi’s classic stories to life.
Drawn from the midrash, Talmud, and Jewish lore, these cherished stories instill a love of Hashem, love of the Torah, and love of the Jewish people, planting the seeds for fine character development and personal refinement. A legend amongst youngsters, Rabbi Yosef Goldstein has inspired generations of children through his stories and songs conveyed in a wholesome and captivating manner, teaching the eternal ethics and morals of our people and heritage. For over 40 years, Uncle Yossi has been a household name in Jewish homes around the world. From the first release of what was to become an ongoing series, his recordings were eagerly welcomed in homes across the globe.
The “Uncle Yossi’s Big Book of Stories” series was released by the Jewish Learning Group, publisher of Jewish books and educational material, founded by his son, Rabbi Zalman Goldstein of Monsey, NY.
“As the youngest of his 10 children, I feel very grateful for having merited the opportunity to observe my father practice his craft throughout my childhood years,” said Zalman, who has also published individual single story art-book editions of his father’s stories in the past.

Why so bitter? Every parade the Rebbe attended was a GREAT parade.
Uncle Yossi will be making a parade in Gan Eden just like you have been leading the parades since 1957 with the rebbe you should continue now in gan Eden and about out loud “hashem is here” and you’re most famous u-f-o-r-a-t-z-t-a like
You do so lovingly and so beautifully with all the children you can now do it with all the malachim and to have the rashbi succeed in his honor that Moshiach will come this lag bomer and we’ll see the rebbe and you and all the tzadikim parading down eastern parkway. Amein!
I got the first book as a gift and it was perfect to read to my kids when they went to bed, excited for the new one.
But there were no “great parades” back in the day, Just simple “lag b’omer parades”…
