Mrs. Shoshana Malka Forma, a former resident of Venezuela, passed away on Acharon Shel Pesach, 5774.
She was 84.
For many years, Mrs. Forma, along with her husband Dr. Avraham Forma obm, provided a kosher haven and a home away from home for the bochurim students of the Yeshiva Gedolah of Venezuela, and took care of their needs and health.
Dr. and Mrs. Forma, referred to by the bochurim as the ‘mother of the Yeshiva,’ had an open home, inviting the bochurim for Shabbos and weekday dinners, and inspiring them with their ‘lebedikeit.’
She was also the personal secretary of Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Perman for many years.
Mrs. Forma has been living in Florida in recent years, after relocating from Venezuela.
She is survived by her children Dr. Elias Forma (Florida), Rabbi Yehoshua Forma (shliach in Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Mrs. Shoshana Lichy (shlucha in Coral Springs, FL) and her grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Rochel Lichy.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Lichy residence in Coral Springs.
