Despite the political instability in the city and the entire Ukraine, the Jewish community of Kharkov joined for a Siyum Sefer Torah on the Eve of 11 Nissan.
The entire community – young and old – joined in the momentous celebration. For many it was their first time at such an event.
The Sefer Torah was donated by Shimon Steren – a supporter of the community.
The happiness and feeling of unity felt at the event made everyone leave stronger and inspired despite all the current economic and political instability.
..when he was a bachur in Caracas (1980s) and had left telshe and fell in love with chassidus and the Rebbe … we was saying divrei chassidus in his sleep !!… what an amazing Guy… Hatzlacha Rabbah vchol Tuv …from Elie Benzaquen in Canada…a blast from the past !!!
How nice to see a community unite with the joy of Torah! May it be a source of blessing for all involved!
What a beautiful event to take place in Kharkov on the Rebbes birthday as well as the birthday of The Rebbetzin of Kharkov, Miriam Moskovits. May you all continue to grow from strength to strength.
