A grand Yud Aleph Nissan Mitzvah Tank Parade was organized in Melbourne, this past Thursday.
Supported by the Anash of Melbourne, the parade, consisting of 12 Mitzvah Tanks, made its way through many busy shopping strips and densely populated areas situated throughout Melbourne, publicizing the upcoming Pesach Holiday, and the Rebbe’s birthday.
Despite a night of non-stop rain, a team of Bochurim ensured that the Tanks were ready on time for the Parade the next morning, adding posters and speakers to all the tanks.
Throughout the day, much Mivtzoim was done, including the distribution of hundreds of Matzos, Pesach Guides, Shabbos Candles and Lamplighters, in addition to many men putting on Teffilin.
More than 40 people participated in the Parade, which took a team of 20+ drivers to coordinate, including pickups, returns, and driving to Mivtzoim locations. With much of the Mitzvah Tank livery being waterproof, street-goers were able to watch the parade make its way through the driving rain, which did not dampen the Bochurim’s spirits in the slightest.
A special thanks goes to all those who assisted in the coordination, sponsoring, and driving, which made this year’s Yud Alpeh Nissan Parade possible.
