An evening of tribute was held last Thursday for Rashi Minkowicz obm, Shlucha to North Fulton, Georgia who passed away recently at the young age of 37.
Her husband, Rabbi Hershy Minkowicz, and their 8 children were joined by family, friends, and the greater community of Alpharetta for an evening to remember their beloved rebbetzin.
At the event, a new Sefer Torah was started in her memory.

Rabbi Hershey, Your wrods inspired more deeply then you can imagine. Those special last things Rashi did for the community and your family were both chilling, unbelievably inspiring, and sooo touching. Her teaching the housekeeper how to make the kids favorite supper the day she passed away, preparing the whole gan izzy down to the last detail, her last shabbos walk with her husband – all I can say is WOW! The fact that during this time of insane pain you are looking to build, writing a sefer torah, building a whole new center, enrolling children in camp – I… Read more »

Watching this tribute from Melbourne Australia. Rabbi Hershy – listening to you and the children talk about Rashi left me with tears (many tears) in my eyes throughout the hour… You are truly amazing people and Rashi was truly an amazing person. Rabbi Hershy I don’t know have you had the courage to get up and talk the way you did – you are a true inspiration. May Hashem give you the Koach to lead your family and your community – with comfort and strength. We are far and even oceans apart, but your pain and your loss is ours… Read more »

What beautiful children left -motherless.
Hashem should comfort them with MOSHIACH NOW!
I have been deeply moved by the strength and courage of Rashi’s beautiful family. The amazing mother and woman that she was has inspired me deeply. I have found myself thinking throughout the day “what would Rashi do”? in this situation…Rashi was and is an inspiration. She has set the bar high for us to try and emulate her. Please Hashem reunite this remarkable family with Moshiach speedily in our days!
I cannot describe how much courage you and your children have to stay strong, even through this tragedy. May Hashem grant you only more simchas, until the coming of Moshiach, when you and your family will be reunited with your Beloved Wife, Shlucha, and Mother, Rashi. May her legacy live on, and you and your children should follow in her footsteps. May you Machayol El Chayol!- from strength to strength, and may only good, wonderful things happen to you and your family. You and all of your wonderful 8 children are amazing people. May Rashi’s memory be a blessingto us,… Read more »

Beautiful! As awful and tragic as it is this was an uplifting memorial to Rashi prompting acts of goodness and kindness and compelling all of us to continue or start to do positive things as Jews and as people. Keep strong! Your family is amazing! Rashi and you rabbi Hershey obviously have done a great job! Keep it up!
Rabbi Hirshy you should have a lot of nachas from your beautiful children. Stay strong.
