This past week, Dr. David Nesenoff, famed lecturer, was invited to the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies by Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov and Rabbi Shlomo Gestetner.
Nesenoff gave an entertaining comedic presentation at the Mayanot Women’s Program in honor of Purim, and led a truly uplifting Farbrengen at the Mayanot Men’s Program, inspiring and empowering the students to effect change in the world in a positive way.
Rabbi Shemtov, Executive Director of Mayanot, was so pleased to host Nesenoff at Mayanot and felt that his words at the farbrengen had a wonderful impact on the students. “Dr. Nesenoff, through his own personal life experience, was able to demonstrate to our students that infinite power lies within each and every one of us. He illustrated that with Jewish pride and belief in divine providence, and diligent work, we can all maximize our potential, in helping the world in general and the Jewish people in particular, to realize the truth of Torah, the Jewish people and the Land of Israel.”
Mayanot student Natan Roth was excited to spend time with David Nesenoff and felt a real connection to Nesenoff’s words. “Dr. Nesenoff and I conversed about growth and Judaism. When he led the Farbregen for the students, he conveyed to us a very powerful message- that people see the Rebbe and they are in awe of his power, but in a way, Dr. Nesenoff said, we have the same power to effect change in the same way that the Rebbe himself did.”
Mayanot is so pleased and honored that Dr. Nesenoff was able to spend an extended weekend with them, sharing his gift of transmitting meaningful messages in a relatable with their students.
I was present when Dr. Nesenoff spoke at our shul. He had me sitting at the edge of my seat, taking in every word. He was one of the best speakers I ever heard. Definitely worth going to.
Loved the article. I am partial, I am Dr. Nesenoff’s aunt, and have heard him speak. He is dynamic and I am very proud of him. I hope he speaks more often in the South Florida area.
Love you David,
Aunt Judy
