#14 You hit it on the nail. Although number 4 is a very nice post, but we can not shut our eyes of what the Torah and the Rebbe stated clearly. Let me elaborate a bit. Rashi explains the difference between the Dor Hamabul and Dor Haflaga; the reason why the Dor haflaga were not destroyed like the Dor Hamabul was because of the Unity that existed among them, even though they were Ovedei Avoda Zara. There is the famous Sicha about Talmidei Rabi Akiva, that the way to rectify that problem is “nohagu kovoid ze boze”, behaving respectfully to… Read more »

IDEA:
March 13, 2014 8:26 pm

To write down questions that come up in my day to day life, at home, at work and at shul and at least once a month speak to a Rov and/or Mashpia about them. The Rebbes last words were: ASEY LECHA RAV! He demanded it and pleaded for it on so many occasion in the last years saying that it is his Bakasha Nafshis!! I think that if more of us would have a personal mentor, so many issues would be different (interpersonal, educational etc. etc.) what do you think? isn’t that the one yesod that can automatically mechazek so… Read more »

Lead by example.

My comment will get poked at but the truth always hurts and can perhaps help those that don’t see the reality of things. Going to the Ohel is a good start. What must follow is that those same people should turn the page and start leeding by example. Every problem has a solution. Some are easier than others. Some are more difficult than oothers. The fighting must stop. If we want drastic changes from the past few weeks we must show and act accordingly. The Shluchim and Anash need to see a drastic change in the way things are. People… Read more »

Gedaliah G. Want It Flaunt it!!
March 13, 2014 6:19 pm

Everyone is very affected by these tragic events. They scream Ad Mosai! Moshiach Now!. Want Moshiach? If you want it, FLAUNT it!! Stop skirting the issue. It may be difficult, and some, even many, will object to such action. Miftzah Tefillin, Shabbos candles, etc. were, and continue to be “In your face” Miftzoim. Miftzah MOSHIACH must be done in the same manner. You want it, flaunt it!!

March 13, 2014 4:17 pm

What a weird comment to write when referring to this, when it only happened because of tremendous tragedies affecting all of Lubavitch, shluchim and anash alike. But beautiful that these great men knew that this wasnt a time for machlokes but a time for achdus…Now if we can translate this to the rest of our days… These men are true role models, and leaders for our community! Happy Purim!

everyone within his immediate family
March 13, 2014 3:57 pm

each of us can be a tad closer and more forgiving to our immediate family. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, etc.
We truly love one another but sometimes we end up a little estranged. Let each of us make a huge effort to overlook things that are really not important. This makes for happier home situations and it spreads – to friends, neighbors and klal Yisroel.

Kinderlach have tremendous kochos
March 13, 2014 3:40 pm

Can mobilize all the little Kinderlach as in the times of the megila to learn ever one additional posuk of. Torah, perhaps at the breakfast table or dinner table together with their families. Just even one additional pasuk multiplied by the thousands upon thousands of Kinderlach can bring moshiach now.

My personal response to this week.
March 13, 2014 3:39 pm

I usually don’t write or comment, but this situation, four shluchim passed away in eight days, calls for an exception. I want to share my personal thoughts and feelings. Though I speak only for myself, I hope others will gain inspiration from my words. The Rebbe taught us that in a situation like this,“vehachi Yiten el Leboi” The Rebbe’s incredible army of shluchim are performing at a level that is beyond amazing. Since the time of creation, there has never been an army like this one that conquered the world one person at a time, one family at a time,… Read more »
