Santa Fe did the same @ a batmitzva and it was Avery detailed hard project, but it WORKED. Problem was how to include TAKING the challa pice from each dough and how to emphasize the bracha that is made before taking the piece. Lots of recipes won’t mention the most important detail: the bracha and taking off the piece. Hooray for this initiative!

GO SHIFRA!!!!!!!!!
