26-year-old Yudi Sherman was fed up with the constant criticism of Israel and decided to do something.
A Los Angeles native who recently moved to the Holy Land, he ventured to use the best method he knew to answer Israel’s critics in the international community and among the Jewish people.
“I recognized that we have a problem in the Jewish community –especially in America– where we’re losing the war because people seem afraid to stand up, to speak out. Or maybe some people just don’t feel that connected,” says Sherman.
“So I thought maybe a song could make a difference, because no one can argue with a song,” explained the student of the IDC in Herzliya. “You either love it or hate it. Plus, instead of defending our People and our Land through intellectual rhetoric, music hits people in their emotions.”
With a past appearance on the Chabad To Life Telethon in California and a few “impromptu concerts” in Las Vegas, the current resident of the Israeli settlement of Efrat sat down and wrote a song.
He knew it had to be “one that could paint a picture of the Land that could make you fall in love with it, or at least realize its beauty, make it come alive so that Jews can feel proud of it, connected to it.”
While noting that he wrote it before the recent “peace” pressure by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Sherman says he wanted to introduce “the idea that peace sometimes – and unfortunately – requires physical defense, and that if you truly love someone, you’ll be willing to physically defend them.”
“After I paint a picture of the Land, I say how the world wants us out. And not only do they want us out, but that they’re making us pay rent in Jewish blood as they continue to support the untold slaughters of innocent Jews.
“So I sat down to write it, and G-d saw fit to put the music and words in my head to compose it. I assure you, it is only because of my passion for the message of the song that G-d allowed me to be His shliach in writing it.”

Yasher Koach from Batya and Chaim Cohen-LA. In all the years we have known you we never had the privilege of hearing your magnificent voice. Your lyrics convey a powerful message. May it go viral and may we all be with you in Yerushalayim with the coming of Moshiach
Thank you all for the warm and touching comments. But the real support comes with sharing this song with others; if you think it can inspire or give courage to someone else, please share it. Then we can spread the message far and wide that we stand together as the People of Israel to defend the G-d of Israel and the Land of Israel. (when sharing, please don’t mention my name…that way it will be solely about the message). Thank you all! – Yudi

Get some good arrangement and an orchestra towards the end, it has a great build up, and would be perfect for the chorus at the end,
