Rabbi Eli Silberstein, Director of the Roitman Chabad Center at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, was a recent guest speaker at the Mesivta of Coral Springs in Florida.
A well known scholar who authors courses for the Jewish Learning Institute taught across the world, he was asked to speak for shiur aleph.
He began with peppering the boys with questions on what they had learned over the course of the year in Gemara Shabbos from daf beis through daf hei and was delighted to hear correct answers to his questions.
“I was very impressed with the level of dedication of the staff,” Silberstein, who lectures on Jewish law at Cornell University, wrote to the management of the Mesivta.
“I was particularly impressed when I paid a visit to Shiur Aleph,” taught by the Rosh Mesivta, Rabbi Chaim Dovid Janowski, he wrote. “The boys were highly motivated and engaged in the learning. They knew the material really well.”

Ithaca rocks !!
Wow! As someone who follows on what goes on there, I’m really amazed from the giving over of the staff there, especially yoss Eizicovics who really gives himself over day and night for the benefit of the bochurim.
I think that any parent who wants his son to be in a mesivta which adapt itself to its child’s needs and has an amazing and chasidishe staff, should really consider the mesivta of Coral Springs.
[yoss, it’s very good to see one of our friends who really succeded.
