Hundreds of members of the Jewish community in Bad Homburg, bordering the German city of Frankfurt, attended a welcoming celebration for a new Torah.
The Sefer Torah was donated by the brothers Mr. Alexander (Sasha) Granovski and Mr. David Granovski from Odesa and Frankfurt.
It was brought to the city’s synagogue, headed by Shliach Rabbi Dov Rabinovitz and his wife Mina.
Chazan Tzudik Greenwald and musician Elimelech Weisberg played as shluchim and bochurim from the Chabad yeshiva in Frankfurt danced with locals.
The Granovskis were thanked for their support of Chabad activities in Germany and the revival of Jewish life in the country.
A few months ago, the two donated a Torah to the Chabad community of Karlsruhe, Germany.
