It’s the truth that, unfortunately, people don’t have a clue today (often) – of the beauty of having true chassidise sensitibilities – and the ADVANTAGE of being able to be really chassidish that comes with it – you can’t top the Torah ways. But it’s hard when “Hashem is in the book, and the klipas are out there in front of us in the world” And many times people are not getting UNCONDITIONAL love, on top of it all! BOTTOM LINE – no matter what, to keep in mind that in the end the ways of TORAH will work more… Read more »

I’m shocked by your comment. He’s offering a positive, emunah/bitochon-based perspective and you see no value here? You sound very very bitter. Maybe the whole talk that this excerpt was taken from would be more helpful to someone like you.

That is one solution.

If there IS? And if there is NOT?

What difference does it ACTUALLY make if there “IS” a crisis? Or if there is NO crisis?!

Can someone please explain the RELEVANCE of this question?!

the main problem is parents

when they get in the way of who their children want…

so what is the solution?

Rabbi Friedman, your talk on this topic is not really helpful. What should people feel after this? more depressed? that neshomahs dont want to come down to this world?? Where do you get that idea from? And what is the effect of saying that? that people get more depressed and feel there is little hope?? We need practical solutions for shidduchim, not theories and emotions. Perhaps all lubavitchers in Crown Heights and other places should start hosting bochurim and girls on Shabbos and when they have some opportunity to see each other then maybe more shidduchim will happen! How many… Read more »

December 12, 2013 12:17 am

the reality of the shidduch crises is symptomatic of A LACK OF APPLYING CHASIDUS! (authentic chasidic teachings that is) Its a “LACK OF CHASIDUS CRISES” whic manifests itself in a myriad of preventable “Crisis”!! Shiduch, Substance abuse, (aka Love starved children) Teenage irreversible regrets… (aka Love starved daughters) Low self image (aka Tznius) Loveless boring marriages (aka Tznius) Abuse physical, emotional or “tactile”… (aka Taboo of mental health interv) Confused/Modernizing chabad-lite (aka Havent a clue of what authentic chasidus is) The solution as always involves returning back to gold old fashion basic Horaos of Halacha and Chasidus! these age tested… Read more »

Mothers

The main problem are the mothers
They take days or even weeks to give an answere
I wish children can start talking to shadchanim on their own
