On the 7th night of Chanukah, Lamplighters Yeshivah hosted its very first public Menorah lighting on Eastern Parkway, at the entrance of their preschool and lower elementary school.
The unique menorah, constructed of PVC pipes, was created by Lamplighters very own Dovid and Meir Schack and stands tall for all passersby to see.
The menorah was lit by a proud elementary student and the children proudly sang along to “Haneiros Halelu” and select niggunim of the Rebbe as Rebbis, teachers and family looked on.
Jelly doughnuts were enjoyed by all as they watched the Menorah burn bright. The Chanukah lights epitomize the vision of Lamplighters Yeshivah, which strives to illuminate the inherent spark in every child to be Lamplighters of the Rebbe and uplift the world.
On the last day of Chanukah, the students went on mivtzoyim and visited a local old age home where they performed Chanukah songs and brought joy to residents.
Big thanks to Rabbi Tzali Laufer of Lubavitch Youth Organization, who arranged and corosinated the logistics.
Or was there one in front of 770 already? If not….
It seems with all of the amazing menorahs put out by the shluchim this year, it’s time 770 had THE MOST spectacular of all. Let’s all put on our thinking caps for next year….surely Mashiach will be here and we will greet him with it lit.
