From the mouths of kosher consumers: “After 120 years, when they ask me if I ate only kosher food, I’ll reply, ‘Well, I certainly PAID for kosher food!’”
Kidding aside, kosher food (expensive as it may be) is one of the founding aspects of Jewish life, affecting every meal and snack of the day. Every Jewish home is well stocked with it, and kosher kitchens worldwide serve up daily meals that nourish both the body and the soul.
For such an important aspect of Jewish life, remaining up-to-date on current issues of kashrus and hashgacha is vital.
Junior N’shei’s next event in Crown Heights titled “Healthy, Wholesome and Holy” will feature Rabbi Yitzchok Hanoka, Rabbinic Coordinator at OK Labs, speaking on the topic of “Understanding Hashgacha” and becoming a more knowledgeable kosher consumer.
Rabbi Hanoka’s speech promises to be practical and insightful, addressing issues such as which foods require a hashgacha, where it’s ok to be lenient and when one must be more stringent.
Sara Chana Silverstein, herbalist and homeopath will also be featured at the event, speaking about “Foods that Heal, Foods that Don’t.” The foods that we eat have a obvious effect on our bodies and functioning, and we can contribute to better health and nutrition by choosing the foods that heal.

you have no clue what you are talking about. Many medications are made from herbs. In addition ‘medical science” is often based on empiric evidence – how is that for a science? Whatever means we have, if it works, can and should be used for healing, as long as it’s not against the Torah
I hope this will be videotaped for us!
Sorry you obviously know nothing about hemeoopathy and should not be posting anything about it. There is not magic behing this stuff – this stuff works if you know what you are doing and this is just as included in medical health as any antibiotic given from a doctor. Hashem has made healing in many forms and just because you’re not familiar with this gives you no right to condemn. Shows on your ignorance. Why don’t you learn a bit first then get back here.

Great presenter. Knows a ton!!
Any article that deals with homeopathy, magic herbs, or other witchdoctory, that we be very clear that all of this is outside the realm of medical science – and thus questionable when given the halachic mandate to take care of our health.
He is a great speaker funny and very knowledgable
