A full crowd of men and women gathered this past Motzoei Shabbos for the third annual Melave Malka of Yagdil Torah held at the Oholei Torah hall in Crown Heights.
The guest speaker was Dayan Levi Yitzchok Raskin of London, and the evening’s honorees were Dr. Robert Feldman, R’ Oren Popper and Rabbi Gershon Selinger who saluted the organization driven to spread Torah learning throughout the Crown Heights community through shiurim, publications and other projects.
Chief among their activities is the Heichal Halimud Tiferes Yitzchok, the study center on Empire Blvd, which has not been closed for even a single day since its opening in Elul, 5770.
Rabbi Levi Browd founded Yagdil Torah along with his wife, Batsheva, to perpetuate the memory of their first born son, Menachem Mendel.
“The event served to inspire participants and to thank the honorees for what they have done for the Crown Heights community,” remarked Browd.
“Thank you to all the supporters who enabled us to achieve this success in the past seven years, and thank you to the thousands who participated by learning; whether at a shiur, in the Heichal HaLimud or with one of our print or online publications,” he said.
A beautiful selection of rare and unique niggunim was presented by Yehuda Piamenta and Yossi Cohen, as guests enjoyed a meal by Exquisite Caterers and entertainment by badchan R’ Yankel Miller.
Rabbi Levi Browd and ALL the staff, may u go Michyol El Choyil. Keep it up! May we be Zoche to the Hisgalos of the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach Mamosh NOW.
Someone’s doing something right in Crown Heights.
It’ll do us all good to learn from him, and promote goodness and Torah, rather then waste time in all the shtus out there.
May he grow and expand this significant work. Kol hakavod.
A Melaveh Malkah to celebrate chinuch (MEF), a Melaveh Malkah to celebrate Torah… we are on the right track! 🙂
Koll hakovod,to your amazing work to bring torah learning to so many in CH
a friend from the midwest
Yasher Koach Dr. Feldman,
So glad to see you were able to get away from your office!
Yasher koach!
Yagdil Torah already does offer services to shluchim, they were at the kinus this year
Kinos Sofrim Tarbe Chochma!
CH will see how well you do in other communities and the other communities will see how well you are dong on CH!!!
so proud! congrats Rabbi Selinger!
Needs to still work on CH where it has barely touched the surface.
There are many communities of Anash that would benefit greatly if Yagdil Torah would come to these cities and ignite promoting the same Torah learning as well. As the Rebbe would say ” Az gut iz gut iz besser nisht besser?!” If Yagdil Torah would be in touch with the major N American cities to bolster shiurim and learning, it would be a great toeles!!!!! Moshiach Now!!!
