Shabbos might soon be able to return to being a real day of rest in Crown Heights.
A man has been arrested in connection with 7 burglaries that took place over the past few months in the neighborhood on Shabbos, the latest just this Friday night.
The last was at a home on Union Street, between Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues, where electronics and silverware were stolen while the Jewish family slept upstairs.
The name of the suspect arrested is Rudolph Boseman, a 55-year-old black male, who police say is tied to the pattern of home burglaries on the day when Jewish residents are usually fast asleep after prayers and a joyous meal.
Mr. Boseman is a career criminal, in and out of prison, who did a 13 year stretch a few years back, police said.
The NYPD explained that they are able to charge him in one of the burglaries because security video footage identified him and a stolen cell phone in his possession was traced to that robbery.
“We are still actively investigating the case to work on charging him in the rest of the robberies, we believe he is the perpetrator,” an officer said.
Dear # 12,
Lowering the crime rate dramatically does not make money. If it did, there would be almost no crime.
You call this ‘A war on crime?’ A BIG Lie
We made ‘war’ against Japan, Italy & Germany (YM”S) and America won (We produced more war materiel than all the other 3 countries COMBINED!) because there was a UNITED EFFORT AND GREAT WILL.
That will against crime does NOT exist now.
‘The 7 Noahide Laws’ N O W !
CIVILIZATION NOW!
Is there a court date? I would love to be at the proceedings
While this man has stolen and you call him evil, I wonder if you are so quick to call one of “our own” evil if they were perpetrators of abuse. Just wondering.
i agree with you perfectly!!!!!! they should put him in prison for his whole life! he does not deserve to come out!
That is exactly what i was thinking!
This career criminal is the type that should be put to work on a chain gang.
What do you pay taxes for if not to keep this scum in prison?!!!
We pay taxes so that we can live in peace. Every moment this scum in on the streets we are paying the price of our safety, liberty and money and property that’s stolen.
to sell used (stolen) silverware and electronics without suspician
what is clear is that for many the current prison system does NOT rehabilitate people. They come out bitter and much, much better trained. The system is not good. People should be punished for crimes, but in a way that will be effective and in a way that fits the crime.
Every day that these scum are in prison costs taxpayers thousands of dollars. Do you want to foot the bill?
The hope is that the guy won’t be stupid enough to commit further crime after being locked up for 13 years. Clearly, this guy does not care, so… Back to prison he goes.
aaaaannnnnndddddd thennnnnnnn theyyyyyyy letttttt them back out on the street lock him up and throw away the key
In and out of prison! why do they let these evil people out?????
The pawn shop owner should be arrested for purchasing stolen goods. Although he denied it, the phone was traced to his location. If no one buys stolen goods and there is no market for them, we would have less burglaries..
S happy.
Who lets a criminal like that out on the streets so he could go and repeat his crimes again and again. Lock him up and throw away the key.
Can the police recover the stolen goods?
interesting…such a criminal gets 13 years while Rubashkin gets 27!?!?!?
