Jewish Senators and representatives in Florida had the chance to bless the Lulav and Esrog and visit a Sukkah at the Florida Capitol.
The Sukkah was set up by Shliach Schneur Z. Oirechman of Chabad of Tallahassee, who, along with his children, assisted visitors to the Sukkah with the customary blessings.
Rabbi Oirechman also presented honey cakes in honor of the new year to the Governor and members of the Florida cabinet, including Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Visiting Jewish legislators, who had to leave their homes for committee weeks, were very excited to be able to visit the sukkah and make the blessing on the Lulav and Esrog.
The Sukkah was allowed at the Capitol thanks to the help of Michael Sevi, the governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, who is also the director of Cabinet Affairs, and the Department of Management Services at the Capitol.
keep up the great work
