Well…our district attorney is happy that the murder rate in Brooklyn has dropped to about 2–300 per year.
It used to be 800!
America settles for second best.
America…wake up!

Reb Chanina, I myself have woken you up in the middle of the night for someone being arrested for a traffic infraction.

It is very disheartening that Aseres Yemai Tshuva, people would DARE to be part of Ma-ke rei-eihu ba-sos-er.

Let me add my little presence to Rabbi Schanowiz,
CHA-ZAK VE-E-MATZ.

I can’t wait to see Mr. Thompson as Mayor of New York, visiting Reb Chanina’s house/succah and have the scooter guys foaming at the mouth……

Thank you Reb Nachman Sanowicz.

What can one say, when you are a Yiras Shomayim AND a Talmid Chochom, as is Reb Nachman Sanowicz, you talk different, walk different and you behave different.

We have (NOT ALL OF US), become NI-DE-RIK and GROB. We try very hard to become Park Slope or worse…..

Hakoras Htoyve is one of our basic teachings and I stand proudly besides the Nachman Sanowiczs of Crown Heights.

It is sad that some will undercut people who have a proven record of helping our own.

I am happy to see that these are only a few and not the greater part of our community. People who I have spoken to will go along with the PAC’s endorsements. Yes some on the PAC have a open door to these politicians and these politicians have responded in kind and helped in many ways our community. Interesting Satmar has also endorsed B.T. and so has Dov Hikind. Remember it takes a few donkeys to destroy a barn. But what really counts is our vote tommorrow.

On a fast day?

How ironic..Gedaliah death was political assassination. Have we not learned from history at all? What an affront to our holy days. We have no respect for ourselves, how can the goyim have respect for us…

If you are so naive that you think Metzitza B’Peh doesn’t affect you (I guess you don’t have children, grandchildren or any family, nebach), follow the herd & vote for someone who wants to destroy a basic religious practice that has lasted thousands of years. It’s the first step to denying religious freedom. As for security of the community….Thompson is a racist so in the event of any more racist attacks, just who do you think he will support? A Jewish victim or a Black thug, who he will bend over backwards to excuse? Having said this, it’s very important… Read more »

No great options
September 9, 2013 2:42 am

There are no great candidates in the current lineup, but of the available options, I think Thompson is the right choice.

There are two primary issues that I believe this community should be concerned about:

1) Security.
2) City-funded programs, such as daycare.
2) Economic growth of NYC.

Metzitza Bpeh, Gender orientation etc.. are not important factors and will not affect you.

Lets get some facts straight. 1) The turnout for this event was 98% Israeli Tourist, 1% Politicians + their friends and 1% regular people like myself. 2) I randomly read about this event on a secular Jewish website. The second I made the connection that either purposely or out of their un savviness the organizers forgot to publicize this event on any of our local websites. I went and posted a link to the article on a Facebook group which thousands of local residents go on daily, in addition I let dozens of friends know about the event, hence that… Read more »

Bill Thompson has a long standing history of supporting the Jewish Community of CROWN HEIGHTS he is a decent moral person, his family has supported our community for decades he has a well known history of sympathy for Jewish causes VOTE FOR BILL THOMPSON FOR MAYOR

Confused
September 8, 2013 11:16 pm

If Thompson is behind in the polls 20% vs. De Blasio 36%, why are our brilliant community leaders endorsing him now?

If you want a repeat show of Dinkins vote Thompson
September 8, 2013 11:07 pm

All I needed to know about this candidate is the ad where he announces that he would put a stop to Stop & Frisk. The rest my friends does not need a commentary.

very misleading
September 8, 2013 10:43 pm

Your title is VERY MISLEADING. Did u ever think y a community would not show up??? Obviously no one knew about it otherwise there would have somewhat been a turnout. Instead of coching on stupidity it should have been publicized I for one would definitely have made the time from my busy schedule to go whether I agree with the new candidate or not as its important to show him what he is up against. The problem is that the people arranging it r lecking all these officials but then keeping it to themselves. Y weren’t all the organizations notified?… Read more »

Too bad our community is voting for low-lives who support ‘Same Gender Marriage.’
Well, it’s ‘Law’ . . . puke.
One of the candidates (More?) supports it because it’s a ‘money maker.’ He couldn’t care less about it being an ‘abomination’ and bad for those involved. Government gives them a ‘stamp of approval.’
Welcome to ‘Pukeville USA.’

agree with # 1

as jews we must learn from history

What Will He Do?
September 8, 2013 10:28 pm

I don’t understand why he deserves an endorsement. All the article says is who was there, it doesn’t say what promises he made that would help our community.
Metzitzah B’peh, school vouchers, excessive parking ticketing, what is his position?

I was at round table discussion with about 10 people 2 weeks ago with Billy Thomson, the guy is a hoax, a lie and a cheat.

Every words that exits his mouth is polished manure he rehearsed!!!
He clearly said he would never consider vouchers, that city agency’s ate for the most part running smoothly 🙂 and that the board of education would see changed in his second term LOL

my vote
September 8, 2013 10:06 pm

my vote goes to whoever stops the gezeirah againts metzitzah bpeh. if a few say they will stop it then I will go with the one who will work to eliminate days of alternate side parking.

My idea for alternate side parking:

1 day a month, and let it be a full day of no parking and then the city should scrub and clean every single block, each block should take 20-30 mins, not a 2 second sweeper pushing trash to the next block..

Of course no one showed up!
September 8, 2013 10:01 pm

Did we know??? Does Thompson realize he’s dealing with people who don’t consider we have any say? According to PAC they think they tell us to jump & we ask how high. Wrong. We are independent, intelligent people who are capable of thinking for ourselves. Secondly…of all the candidates, the most overtly racist is Bill Thompson. I know because I thoroughly researched each candidate, including the two Republicans, for a class I am giving tomorrow. Beware of what you wish for….Thompson is in favor of banning Metzizah b’Peh. Trayvon Martin was a saint according to him, & the jury was… Read more »
